Step by Step is an installation of very thin, sharp-edged porcelain tiles. In some places, the edges are jagged and dirty, marking the path to the point where the blades are going vertically upwards, cleanly. In a few places, as a visual counterpoint, a red glaze appears on them, suggesting the physiological phenomenon of wounds and bleeding. This gesture makes the installation closer to our own experience, symbolizing the path we walk every day
